July Communion Rail Offering for UMC Missionary Willie Berman
Pastor Willie Berman is a UMC missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church, serving in his home country of Mexico as the Mexican Methodist Border Mission Coordinator based in Reynosa. Rev. Berman has been serving in a similar ministry since 2001, coordinating with VIM teams, (Volunteer In Mission), from annual conferences in Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Ohio, Tennessee and Iowa.
Pastor Willie began developing a new strategy for the Methodist Border Mission Network for a ministry program that serves immigrants along the US-Mexico border. He continues in that work, and we continue to support him in a covenant relationship with his ministry for over a decade. Each year we sent him donations to support his vital work of hope and love bringing Jesus Christ to all he serves. All the offerings collected during communion on May 25 will go to support Pastor Berman’s vital ministry.
Please prayerfully consider an offering to support the Mexican Methodist Border Mission based in Reynosa which is led by Rev Berman. We are called to give and support those missionaries who go where we cannot serve in order to love our neighbors as God has called us to love in mission.
